Book Review: OTHER by Karen Kincy (YA book 326pgs @ 2010)

In a world where every "other" is out there and people know about them such as Vampires, Werewolves, and shapeshifters is a young girl named Gwenhwyfar Williams better known as Gwen. She is a shapeshifter half pooka (from her dad) and is able to shift into any kind of animal she wants. Living in secret in a town in Washington that doesnt like Others like most places do she keeps this secret even from her current boyfriend Zack. Her parents know and her half sister does too but noone else. But a killer soon is on the loose killing "others" like herself and she suddenly finds herself in a race against time not only to find the killer but to do so before he or she kills her too. Along with her new boyfriend (after Zack breaks up with her) a kitsune shapeshifter (turns into a fox) named Octavian aka "Tavian" she must find out who is killing others. Little does Gwen know that she knows the killer all too well, and he wants to kill her too. A wonderful fantasy YA book unlike some of the ones out there of its kind. It will grab you from page one and not drop you till the end of the book. So good you will want it to end to find out the mystery but not want it to end because you will fall in love with the main characters especially Gwen and Tavian. Highly recommened book!!
